On December 7, Vulfpeck will release a new studio album entitled Hill Climber through their Vulf Records imprint. The funk band shared the Hill Climber track “It Gets Funkier IV” via an in-studio video.
“It Gets Funkier IV” features Louis Cole of Knower on drums. The song is the fourth installment of the “It Gets Funkier” suite that started with the original track on 2011’s Mit Peck and continued with “It Gets Funkier II” on Vollmilch in 2012 and “It Gets Funkier III” on 2013’s My First Car. Vulfpeck’s Jack Stratton mixed and produced Hill Climber, which includes contributions from Theo Katzman, Cory Wong, Joey Dosik, Larry Goldings, Ryan Lerman, Antwaun Stanley, Monica Martin and Mike Viola.
