Bob Dylan’s most recent Bootleg Series installment was More Blood, More Tracks, which presented over 80 outtakes from the sessions held for what became the 1975 landmark album Blood On The Tracks. This week’s edition of Saturday Stream features a Spotify Playlist of covers of every single song on Dylan’s masterful LP.
Arriving yesterday, More Blood, More Tracks: The Bootleg Series Vol. 14 was culled from the 1974 tapes made in New York City at A&R Studio in September and in Minneapolis at Sound 80 Recordings in December. A 10-song digital sampler of the limited edition deluxe box set was made available for streaming.
The 10 tracks on the original album are among the most well-known and frequently covered in Dylan’s songbook: “Tangled Up In Blue,” “Simple Twist of Fate,” “You’re A Big Girl Now,” “Idiot Wind,” “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,” “Meet Me In The Morning,” “Lily, Rosemary And The Jack Of Hearts,” “If You See Her, Say Hello,” “Shelter From The Storm” and “Buckets Of Rain.” The Spotify Playlist below features at least one cover of each of those 10 songs.
