Tommy Emmanuel, one of Australia’s greatest guitarists, has announced a string of headline shows to go along with his upcoming appearance at Byron Bay Bluesfest in 2019.
The acclaimed axeman will play solo headline shows in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Mandurah, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney in April.
Supporting each show will be Nashville’s Grammy-winning dobro guitar master Jerry Douglas, who will also perform the odd song alongside Emmanuel during the tour.

Tommy Emmanuel released his latest album Accomplice One in January this year. His older brother (and fellow guitarist) Phil Emmanuel died in May at the age of 65.
