Jennifer Hartswick shared a clip from an upcoming documentary about the Trey Anastasio Band trumpeter who just released a solo album, Nexus. The preview features JHa and her regular collaborator, guitarist Nick Cassarino.
“I knew what I wanted, I knew what I wanted it to sound like,” Hartswick says regarding Nexus. “I wanted to make a record that was quiet and that made you listen. I wanted to create something that was just a few people making music.”
Along with Cassarino, producer/bassist Christian McBride and Hartswick’s Trey Anastasio Band mates, drummer Russ Lawton and trombonist Natalie Cressman, were among those contributing to Nexus. Watch the documentary preview below:
