John Mayer, Chance The Rapper, Anderson .Paak, Thundercat, SZA and others performed at last night’s Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life tribute concert. The event was held at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles in honor of the late Mac Miller, who passed away on September 7 at the age of 26.
Also performing at the tribute concert were many of Miller’s past collaborators and friends, including Action Bronson, Earl Sweatshirt, Ty Dolla $ign, Vince Staples, Juicy J, Miguel, Rae Sremmurd, Schoolboy Q and Travis Scott. Mayer’s performance consisted of a cover of Miller’s “Small Worlds” and “Gravity.” The guitarist also appeared with Thundercat during “Them Changes.”
.Paak performed his Miller collaboration “Dang!” and his newest single “Tints.” Chance The Rapper’s set was made up of “Blessings,” “Workout” and “No Problem.” Proceeds from last night’s event will go to the recently-established Mac Miller Circles Fund charity organization.
