Mountain Jam Aims To Get ‘Back To The Jam’ In 2019

The 15th annual Mountain Jam music festival will be held in 2019 and it appears organizers will shift the focus back to jam acts for next year’s event. As Live For Live Music pointed out, organizers shared a post on social media stating, “We like our PB&J with lots of Jam. How ‘bout you? #backtothejam” with a picture of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

This year’s event was held at its usual home of Hunter Mountain in Hunter, New York between June 15 – 17. Mountain Jam 2018 saw the festival continue to stray from its jam roots with The War On Drugs, Portugal. The Man, Alt-J, Kurt Vile & The Violators, The Record Company and Jenny Lewis among the acts at the top of the bill and was just the second held without the participation of co-founder Warren Haynes. Warren teamed with Radio Woodstock to launch the festival, which took its name from an improvisation-heavy tune in The Allman Brothers Band’s live repertoire, as a one-day event in 2005. Mountain Jam has since expanded to three days.

Details of Mountain Jam’s 2019 installment including the dates and lineup are forthcoming. Here’s the post teasing this year’s lineup:
