Rooster Walk 11 will take place at Pop’s Farm in Martinsville, Virginia May 23 – 26. Organizers of the long-running music festival recently revealed the initial 2019 lineup.
Shovels & Rope are aboard for May’s event. Billy Strings, Mountain Heart, Yarn, Kendall Street Co. and C2 & The Brothers Reed will each perform twice over the course of the festival. Rooster Walk 11 will also host State Birds (w/ Sipe, Seal, Fountain & Lopes). Look for over 40 more acts to be added to the lineup soon.
“This is a great start to our lineup, and just a taste of the 50-or-so bands that will perform at the festival this year,” said Johnny Buck, a Rooster Walk organizer in a statement. “We’ve wanted to host Shovels & Rope for a while now, so it’s very exciting to have them on board. And then there are some major fan-favorites already on the bill, like Mountain Heart and Yarn, that our fans request each year. We’ve got a lot more bands to come, including the top two headliners.” Tickets are on sale now via Eventbrite.
