Southern rockers The Marcus King Band announced their first tour of 2019. The six-piece group will focus on the Midwest to end January and start February as they continue to tour in support of the recently released Carolina Confessions.
Guitarist/frontman Marcus King, keyboardist DeShawn Alexander, bassist Stephen Campbell, trombonist/trumpeter Justin Johnson, saxophonist Dean Mitchell and drummer Jack Ryan begin the tour at A&R Music Bar in Columbus on January 24. Next comes a previously announced pair of shows in Milwaukee opening for Umphrey’s McGee on January 25 and 26. From there, The MKB will play Madison, Wisconsin on January 27; Peoria, Illinois on January 29; Lexington, Kentucky on January 30 and Blacksburg, Virginia on January 31. The tour is currently slated to end with a performance at Boathouse Live in Newport News, Virginia on Feburary 1. Tickets for the headlining shows go on sale this Friday, November 30.
