Today, Umphrey’s McGee has announced their return to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2019. The prog-jam favorites will hit Morrison, CO for their three customary summer nights on June 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, two weeks earlier than their usual early-July visit.
On Friday, June 21st, the first night of the run, Umphrey’s McGee will be joined by Arizona jam quartet Spafford. On the run’s final night, Sunday, June 23rd, Umphrey’s will perform three sets including a special Led Zeppelin set with guest drummer Jason Bonham, reprising their collaboration from last summer at LOCKN’. Support for the run’s second night on Saturday, June 22nd has yet to be announced.
The change of dates for the annual Umphrey’s McGee Red Rocks run is unsurprising considering the fact that The Avett Brothers announced their own return to Red Rocks on the usual Umphrey’s weekend back in October.
In addition to the three Red Rocks shows, Umphrey’s guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger will help kick off the weekend with an intimate acoustic performance at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox in Denver on Thursday, June 20th. As always, umVIP will offer premium tickets for fans who crave the ultimate mile-high experience. The UM pre-sale will offer deeply discounted $99.00 three-day tickets only (including a 50% reduction on service fees). Individual day tickets and a limited amount of discounted three-night tickets will be available to the public starting on Friday, November 30th at 10:00 am MT.
