Umphrey’s McGee will resume a tradition of yearly visits to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado in 2019. Next year’s UM Red Rocks run will take place June 21 – 23.

On Friday, June 21 Spafford will open for Umphrey’s. A support act for Saturday, June 22 will be announced soon. Then, on Sunday, June 23 Umphrey’s McGee will play three sets including a Led Zeppelin tribute with drummer Jason Bonham. UM teamed up with John Bonham’s son earlier this year at the Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, Virginia. In addition, UM guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger will play an intimate acoustic show at Denver’s Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox on June 20 to raise funds for Conscious Alliance.

The sextet made their Red Rocks debut on July 2 and 3, 2005 as part of The String Cheese Incident’s Big Summer Classic traveling festival. Umphrey’s co-headlined the venue with moe. in 2006 and opened for Gov’t Mule in 2008. On July 3, 2010 the band headlined Red Rocks and has returned each summer since. The run was expanded to two nights in 2016 and three nights in 2017 and 2018.
