Freaks Action Network Opens Online Bidding For 2018 Holiday Jam Silent Auction

128

The Freaks Action Network second annual Holiday Jam Online Auction has opened for bidding today here. Items up for auction include a Phish Albany 2018 concert poster signed by all four members of the band, a signed copy of Phil Lesh‘s Searching For The Sound autobiography and dinner for four at Calexico with guitarist Scott Metzger.

Bidding will conclude and winners will be announced at the end of the sold-out Holiday Jam featuring Chris Harford & the Band of Changes (including Metzger, Dave Dreiwitz and Joe Russo) at Littlefield in Brooklyn on December 20. The auction confirmed today comes in addition to the previously announced raffle for a wide range of prizes such as tickets to sold-out concerts, signed artwork and photographs.

The Freaks Action Network was put together by members of the tastemaking e-mail list NYC Freaks less than two years ago. In that short span, tens of thousands of dollars have been raised for charity. The 2018 Holiday Jam celebrates the lives of Heather Sabella and Michael Zucker, two long-time members of the community who lost their battles with cancer earlier this year. Proceeds from the raffle and silent auction will benefit METAvivor and Cycle For Survival in honor of Heather and Michael. METAvivor is dedicated to the specific fight of women and men living with stage four metastatic breast cancer, while Cycle for Survival earmarks 100% of every donation to rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Both the auction and raffle are open to all. Those who enter and bid do not need to be present at the Holiday Jam to win. Head here for the full list of items up for auction, to bid and for more information.
