Gary Clark Jr. Performs ‘Night Time Is The Right Time’ On ‘Austin City Limits’

Guitarist Gary Clark Jr. went without his axe for a performance of “Night Time Is The Right Time” that will air on a special New Year’s Eve broadcast of long-running live music television program Austin City Limits. Video of Clark Jr. and a bevy of musicians covering the song Ray Charles made famous has been shared as a preview of the upcoming episode.

Chris Isaak will host the ACL Hall Of Fame New Year’s Special, which was filmed on October 25. Los Lobos, Marcia Ball, Robert Randolph and Irma Thomas are among those that will join Clark Jr. in performing during the episode. Gary’s rendition of “Night Time Is The Right Time” finds him backed the house band as well as the triumvariate of vocalists Ruthie Foster, Carolyn Wonderland and Shelley King.
