The music gurus over at Triple J Unearthed have revealed the most-flogged artists on the Unearthed Radio airwaves for 2018.

The #1 most-played slot was taken out by Western Sydney producer Kwame, who burst onto the scene this year with his new EP Endless Conversations and beloved summer anthem ‘WOW’.

Nipping at his heels were Canberra indie-rock collective Moaning Lisa, who dropped their sophomore EP Do You Know Enough? this year.

Good Doogs, Samsaruh & Angie McMahon all cameo’d in the top 5, while scattered throughout the hot 50 were faves like G-Flip, Bad Juju, CLEWS, Eliza & The Delusionals, Baker Boy, Slowly Slowly, Didirri and loads more.

This level of Unearthed radio support is pretty much a sign that we can expect most of these acts to continue to blow up in 2019, as they continue their journey up the triple J ladder.

Crunching the numbers even further, Unearthed Radio programmers have revealed that 58% of the top 50 most-played acts were female-fronted, while 64% were solo artists.

2,416 different acts graced the Unearthed digital radio airwaves in 2018, totalling 4,244 different songs and 135,029 spins altogether.

You can inspect the top 50 most-played artists on triple J Unearthed‘s radio channel for 2018, below.
