Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will present a tribute to Aretha Franklin at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans. The special concert will take place May 3, coinciding with the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
Billed as R.E.S.P.E.K.T. (“K.T.” representing Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe) – A Special Tribute To The Queen Of Soul, the announcement also promises special guests. KDTU previously performed tributes to Prince, The Allman Brothers Band, Ray Charles, Run DMC and others. Last May, Karl D and the band set the Orpheum’s attendance record for their Exile On Bourbon Street tribute to The Rolling Stones.
