Melvin Seals & JGB have announced an extensive upcoming spring tour, that will see the band across the east coast and Midwest throughout the month of March. Comprised of organist/keyboardist Melvin Seals, drummer Peter Lavezzoli, guitarist Zach Nugent, bassist John-Paul McLean, and vocalists Sunshine Becker and Lady Chi, the six-piece rock band continues to honor the work and choice covers played by the late Grateful Dead guitarist, Jerry Garcia.
Melvin Seals & JGB will open up the tour at Pittsburgh, PA’s Rex Theater on March 1st, 2019, before stops at Jim Thorpe, PA’s Penn’s Peak (3/2); Cohoes, NY’s Cohoes Music Hall (3/3); Roanoke, VA’s 5 Points Music Sanctuary (3/5); Greensboro, NC’s Blind Tiger (3/6); Norfolk, VA’s The NorVa (3/7); Asbury Park, NJ’s Stone Pony (3/8); and Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre (3/9).
The band will then hit cities across New England, with performances at Portland, ME’s Port City Music Hall (3/10); Stowe, VT’s Rusty Nail (3/11); Fall River, MA’s Narrows Center for the Arts (3/14); Beverly, MA’s The Cabot (3/15); Portsmouth, NH’s Flying Monkey Movie and Performance Center (3/16); and Greenfield, MA’s Hawks and Reed PAC (3/17).
Melvin Seals & JGB will wrap up their extensive tour with stops at Buffalo, NY’s Iron Works (3/18); Columbus, OH’s Woodlands Tavern (3/20); Indianapolis, IN’s The Vogue (3/21); Chicago, IL’s Park West (3/22); Covington, KY’s Madison Theatre (3/23); Ferndale, MI’s Otus Supply (3/24), and a tour-closing show at Ardmore, PA’s Ardmore Music Hall on March 26th.
