On December 21, Mike Dillon will release Bonobo Bonobo via Royal Potato Family. Today, the percussionist shared the record’s title track.
Produced by Nathan Lambertson, the 13-track effort finds Dillon backed by a collective of New Orleans musicians he’s dubbed The Mallet Men. The LP features Stanton Moore (Galactic), Tiffany Lamson (Givers), Doug Belote (Jerry Douglas), James Singleton (Nolatet), Brendan Bull, Ari Kohn (Brass Lighting), G. Maxwell (Miranda Lambert), Cliff Hines (Rickie Lee Jones) and Evan Oberla (O.A.R.). Listen to “Bonobo” below:
Additionally, Dillion will head out on a winter run in support of the album. The 31-date Mike Dillon Band run features a mix of headlining shows and support dates opening for Clutch, Ten Hand, Marco Benevento and The Greyboy Allstars. The tour kicks off on December 27 at Ram’s Head Live in Baltimore and wraps on February 17 in Portland at the Skyway Bar and Grill.
