Glen Hansard, Anderson East, Bettye LaVette and Lee Fields are among the acts added to The Music Of Van Morrison all-star tribute concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The event honoring legendary singer-songwriter Van Morrison will take place March 21.
Others participating in The Music Of Van Morrison concert will be Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem, Marc Cohn, Richard Marx, The Secret Sisters, Shawn Colvin and The Resistance Revival Chorus. Music education organizations for underprivileged youth will receive 100 percent of the net proceeds from this year’s event. Previous tribute concerts staged by Dorf honored Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, David Byrne, Paul Simon, Prince, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, R.E.M., Neil Young and The Rolling Stones, with more than $1.5 million raised for charity to date.
