Widespread Panic Announces Three-Night Run At The Capitol Theatre

201

Today, Athens, GA rockers Widespread Panic have officially announced a pair of three-night runs to kick off their 2019 touring schedule, including stints in the Washington, D.C. and New York City areas.

Yesterday, the band posted the Facebook events pages for their three-night run at The Theater at MGM National Harbor outside the nation’s capital set for March 15th, 16th, and 17th, which will see them celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as they did in 2018. In addition to officially confirming the MGM National Harbor Run, the band has revealed a three-night stand at Port Chester, NY’s historic “rock palace,” The Capitol Theatre, set to take place the following weekend on March 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.

Widespread Panic has not been back to the New York area since their two-night run on the Coney Island boardwalk in September of 2016. It’s been even longer since Panic played The Cap: The March shows will mark the band’s first visit to the storied venue since July 18th, 1992, when they served as the openers for The Radiators.

Tickets for all six performances go on sale this Friday, December 14th at 10 a.m. ET. Check here for more details.
