As reported, the Jerry Garcia Birthday Band featuring Melvin Seals, Jacklyn LaBranch, Gloria Jones, Oteil Burbridge, Tom Hamilton and Duane Trucks will perform for “Like A Road Leading Home: Celebrating Jerry Garcia” at The Warfield in San Francisco on January 11 and 12. The first night will include a full recreation of the Jerry Garcia Band’s 1991 live album.
Jerry Garcia Band was recorded live at The Warfield during the spring and summer of 1990. Seals, LaBranch and Jones were part of Garcia’s band at the time. The Grateful Dead guitarist’s family and estate originally put together the Jerry Garcia Birthday Band for a celebration of the late musician’s 75th birthday at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado on August 4, 2017. “Like A Road Leading Home” will be the group’s San Francisco debut.
