Back in 2017, Aqueous guitarist Mike Gantzer teamed up with Umphrey’s Mcgee bassist Ryan Stasik and drummer Kris Myers to give fans at Brooklyn Comes Alive a nostalgic punk-rock experience with a Green Day-themed tribute set.
The three jam-based musicians will look to revive their pop-punk supergroup in Albany, New York next month, as they announced on Tuesday afternoon that their tribute supergroup, DOOKIE, will perform music from the infamous 1994 Green Day studio album by the same name at an afterparty following Umphrey’s performance at The Palace Theatre on February 1st.
The afterparty will take place at the Pearl St. Pub, located just a few blocks away from The Palace Theatre. The performance will take place at 11:30 p.m., although fans should expect for the tribute show to start closer to midnight depending on how long it takes for fans to empty out of the Umphrey’s concert earlier that evening. The announcement also stated that they plan on jamming out to some rock songs outside of the Green Day songbook, so fans should be ready for anything when the three musicians take the stage for the late-night party set.
Umphrey’s will be joined in support by Robert Walter’s 20th Congress at The Palace that evening, so there’s also the possibility that a member or two from that band could also find their way over to the Pearl St. Pub as well.

The announcement on Tuesday afternoon came just afters after Aqueous revealed they would be teaming up with power funk band Turkuaz for a run of four shows across the northeast scheduled in early April. The band also announced just last week that their first-ever all-improv performance will take place during a show at Anthology in Rochester, New York on March 15th as part of their upcoming winter tour.
