Vulfpeck family member Cory Wong brought his solo band to Paste Studio New York City for an in-studio session on Wednesday. The guitarist and his band were joined by special guests Emily Browning and Dave Koz at various points of their set.
Wong kicked off his set with “Welcome 2 Minneapolis” from his MSP, Pt. 1 EP to start the set. Next up was “Dial Up” off 2017’s Cory Wong & The Green Screen Band LP. Cory then welcomed Kiwi guitarist/vocalist Emily C. Browning for “Juke On Jelly” from his recently released studio album The Optimist. Finally, Cory Wong brought out smooth jazz saxophone legend Dave Koz for the title track from The Optimist and the collaborative “Friends At Sea” written in honor of Koz’s Dave Koz & Friends At Sea cruise.
