Download Festival Australia’s 3rd Lineup Announcement Is Here

162

The monstrous lineup for the 2019 instalment of Download Festival Australia just got even more monstrous, with organisers today announcing a 3rd batch of artists invading the mosh.

Five new acts have been announced, of which four are homegrown (three are female-fronted too, FYI!).

Fresh from warming up arena stages in Australia and NZ for Guns N’ Roses legend Slash, Kiwi hard rockers Devilskin will be joining proceedings, together with Brisbane deathcore crew Aversions Crown, Sydney riff crushers Justice For The Damned, Newcastle pop-punks Eat Your Heart Out and Melbourne alt-rockers The Beautiful Monument.

They join a lineup of slayers including the actual Slayer, plus Ozzy Osbourne, Rise Against, Ghost, Alice In Chains, Judas Priest, Halestorm and more.

ICYMI: Californian outfit New Years Day recently got called up at the eleventh hour to replace Andy Black on the lineup, after the Black Veil Bride pulled out due to “scheduling conflicts”.

And the final band to be announced on the lineup legit could be yours, after triple j launched an Unearthed competition for two lucky local acts to open a leg of the festival each.

Download Festival is taking place across one weekend in March, with Sydney’s date being on Saturday 9th March and Melbourne having their event on the long weekend Monday, 11th March.
