Jenny Lewis Details Forthcoming LP, Shares First Single “Red Bull & Hennessy” [Listen]

Indie rock singer and guitarist Jenny Lewis has detailed her forthcoming studio effort, On The Line, due on on March 22nd via Warner Bros. Records. The former Rilo Kiley member’s follow-up studio effort to 2014’s The Voyager will include an all-star backing band, featuring Ringo Starr, Ryan Adams, Beck, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench, Don Was, Jim Keltner, and more.

Jenny Lewis has also shared On The Line’s first single, “Red Bull & Hennessy”, ahead of the album’s spring release. According to Setlist.FM, Lewis first debuted the song in 2015, and performed it 12 times over the next year. The song has a retro vibe to it, with twangy, classic rock guitars and hard-hitting percussion work. Listen to “Red Bull & Hennessy” below:

Lewis has also added a handful of summer tour dates in support of Death Cab For Cutie, including stops at Portland, ME’s Thompsons Point (6/11); Burlington, VT’s The Green at Shelburne (6/12); New Haven, CT’s College Street Music Hall (6/14); Queens, NY’s Forest Hills Stadium (6/15); Detroit, MI’s The Masonic (6/18); Toronto, ON’s Echo Beach (6/20); Cooperstown, NY’s Ommegang Brewery (6/21); and a final show at Northampton, MA’s Calvin Theatre on June 22nd.
