Guitarist Kurt Vile unveiled his first single of 2019. Vile released the new Amazon Original song “Timing Is Everything (And I’m Falling Behind).” The track can only be streamed and purchased through Amazon Music.
“Timing Is Everything (And I’m Falling Behind)” was recorded in Athens by Kyle Spence, a member of Vile’s Violators’ band. Spence produced the track during a series of band rehearsals that preceded a festival appearance in Denver. Kurt tapped Peter Katis to mix the track. “[this song is] a candid snapshot of KV & the Violators ‘at home,’ where we like it: sparse and jangly and as live as possible. This jam was one of many contenders for the last album, but we gonna start peeling em off for ya now instead.,” said Kurt Vile in a statement.
