Lettuce and Ghost-Note have spent the last few weeks shredding through the east coast alongside one another with their incomparable funk squads. With both bands sharing collaborations throughout their sets, the tour came to its peak on Friday night at Infinity Hall in Hartford, CT, when all of Ghost-Note joined Lettuce on stage to help close out the latter’s headlining set.

Ghost-Note drummer Robert “Sput” Searight, percussionist Nate Werth, bassist Dywane “MonoNeon” Thomas Jr., keyboardist Xavier Taplin, keyboardist Vaughn “V-Keys” Henry, guitarist Peter Knudsen, and saxophonist/flutist Jonathan Mones all joined the future funk heroes of Lettuce for their set-closing, 14+ minute “Royal Highness”. The two bands returned to the stage again for a raging “Sounds Like A Party” encore, displaying each individual’s talents to the utmost degree.

The collaborations came after an extended set from Lettuce that featured a delightful mix of original fan-favorites “Blast Off”, “Yakatori”, “Madison Square”, “The Flu”, and “Blaze”, and unreleased material, including “N’Dugu”, “Ready To Live”, “Gang Ten”, and “Silence Is Golden”.
