As reported, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong rang in 2019 with a New Year’s “stEVE” performance at Stage AE in Pittsburgh. The Baltimore-based funk outfit put a twist on the evening festivities by working in songs credited to artists named Steve throughout the night. The quartet has shared pro-shot video of a pair of Stevie Wonder covers from the celebratory evening.

PPPP’s two-set performance saw them perform songs from the likes of Steve Winwood, Steve Miller Band, Steven Tyler and more. The quartet also dug in on Stevie Wonder’s catalog delivering takes on tracks from Innervisions, Talking Book, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, Fulfillingness’ First Finale and more. At the midway point of their opening frame, the band delivered “Whoopie” from their 2016 release Pleasure ahead of Songs In The Key Of Life cut “I Wish” and “Master Blaster” from Hotter Than July.
