Tedeschi Trucks Band Offer Free Tickets To Government Workers For Tonight’s Show In Chattanooga

92

Tedeschi Trucks Band is scheduled to perform at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Wednesday night, with support from the Marcus King Band.

The latest stop on TTB’s 2019 winter tour didn’t quite sell out ahead of the show, and members of the popular rock band have decided to give some of those unsold tickets to local first responders, furloughed government employees, and active military personnel–free of charge as a way of apologizing on behalf of the failing U.S. Government during this ridiculous ongoing shutdown.

Local fans who qualify for the offer and should head over to the Auditorium box office with their Government I.D. between now and tonight’s 8 p.m. showtime to receive the free pair of tickets. Considering the drawing power of Tedeschi Trucks Band, folks should head over to Soldiers and Sailors Auditorium as soon as possible as the offer is limited to a set amount of remaining unsold tickets.

Tedeschi Trucks Band is not the first notable music act to offer free concert tickets in hopes of easing the emotional burden being experienced by tens of thousands of unpaid professionals across the country. Nile Rodgers also offered free tickets for unpaid Government workers on Tuesday for CHIC‘s upcoming performance at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland January 26th.

The band’s winter tour is scheduled to continue until March 1st with a final stop at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta, Georgia. From there the band will head over to Europe for a 14-show international run throughout the month of April. The band will return to performing here in the U.S. later on this year for the summer 2019 edition of their annual “Wheels of Soul Tour,” which begins on June 28th in Jacksonville, Florida. The band also recently announced the forthcoming release of their fourth studio album, Signs, although a set arrival date has not been revealed as of yet.
