The colorful, nine-piece funk machine known as Turkuaz will head out on a 15-show spring tour in just a few months beginning in early April. One of the notable stops on the newly-announced tour is the band’s scheduled performance at the North Beach Bandshell in sunny Miami Beach, Florida on Saturday, April 27th. The spring concert will mark Turkuaz’s first time ever performing at the beautiful outdoor venue, so music fans in Miami Beach had better be ready for a colorful mix of heart-pumping, toe-tapping, beachside funk-rock power from Turkuaz.
The New York-native band began their 2019 concert campaign last week with some stand-out performances on Jam Cruise 17. Turkuaz’s first post-cruise headlining performance on their winter tour took place on Wednesday with a show at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Their run of winter tour dates will continue into February and March before wrapping in mid-April. Turkuaz will have 38 performances behind them by the time their 2019 tour lands in Miami on April 27th, so their funk machine will be up to full speed for a night of action on the beach.
The band’s busy tour schedule continues to help them promote their 2018 studio album, Life In The City. The nine-track album arrived back in late September via Electric Habitat Music. In addition to providing fans with some infectious new selections for Turkuaz’s nightly setlists, Life In The City also gave the band a great excuse to put together some visually stimulating music videos for the new material, including a retro-themed video game adventure for the album’s title track and a live performance clip for “Make You Famous”.
