Cat Power, more formally known as Chan Marshall, recently stopped by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert video series to perform three songs, two of which are included on her recent studio album, 2018’s Wanderer.
Marshall’s 10th studio album to date was released back on October 5th via Domino Records. The album was produced entirely by Marshall, and written between sessions in Miami and Los Angeles over the last several years. The project also featured guest contributions from some of her “longtime friends and compatriots,” including pop songstress Lana Del Ray.
Backed by guitarist Adeline Jasso, drummer Alianna Kalaba, and pianist Erik Paparazzi, Marshall worked through two Wanderer cuts including the title track and “Woman”, as well as “The Moon” from Cat Power’s 2006 album, The Greatest.
