Cory Wong shared pro-shot video of his complete performance in Minneapolis. The guitarist’s sold-out hometown show took place on February 9 at the Fine Line Music Cafe.
Wong was supported by drummer Petar Janjic, keyboardist Kevin Gastonguay, bassist Kevin MacIntire, trombonist Michael Nelson, trumpeter Steve Strand and Kenni Holmen on reeds/piccolo. Wong performed several songs from his 2018 album The Optimist, including the title track, “’91 Maxima,” “Jax” and “Juke On Jelly” featuring Emily Browning on guitar and vocals. The band also played Wong’s recent collaboration with Dave Koz, “Friends At Sea” along with a few other funky numbers.
