Lukas Nelson & Promise of The Real played The Troubadour in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Nelson and his band were joined by a number of guests including Jimmy Buffett and members of Lucius.
Buffett led Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real on his beloved 1977 classic “Margaritaville.” Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius contributed backing vocals. Another memorable moment took place when vocalist Hunter Elizabeth emerged to sing “Shallow” from A Star Is Born, a movie on which Lukas served as musical consultant and contributor to its soundtrack. Nelson is also featured in the film. Last night’s concert came to a conclusion with an encore that included a rousing rendition of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ “American Girl.”
