Lotus announced on Wednesday that the pro-shot concert films of their 2016 and 2017 performances at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre are now available to rent or purchase on demand. The instrumental-based rock band had performed at the famous outdoor venue on September 17th, 2016, and again on September 16th, 2017, with both shows helping to support the July 2016 release of their Eat the Light studio album.
Both films come with over two hours of live footage, in addition to some pretty cool behind-the-scenes backstage b-roll. Both films can also be rented for a one-week streaming period for $3.95, or purchased to stream/download at any time for a manageable cost of just $9.95.
The September 2016 concert featured live performances of then-new songs from the album into the night’s setlist, including “Suntan”, “Anti-Gravity”, “Sleep When We Are Dead”, and “Eats the Light”. The show that evening featured one long set of 13 songs, with an additional performance of “What Did I Do Wrong” during the encore. The 2017 concert was a completely different show production, as that evening’s performance consisted of 13 songs over two sets, with no encore. Lotus released a new album with its own documentary late last year when Frames Per Second arrived on December 5th. The 1-hour and 42-minute documentary is also available to rent or purchase on Vimeo. Lotus will begin a two-night run at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY this weekend on February 8th and 9th. Fans can head to their website to purchase tickets to all of their upcoming winter 2019 performances.
