Mountain Jam Announces Initial 2019 Lineup At Bethel Woods

118

The 15th annual Mountain Jam music festival will take place at Bethel Woods Center For The Arts in Bethel, New York June 13 – 16. All previous installments were held at Hunter Mountain in Hunter, New York. Mountain Jam founder Gary Chetkof spoke with the Poughkeepsie Journal and shared the initial lineup with the caveat that he is “awaiting approval for the gathering from the state Department Of Health.”

Willie Nelson & Family, Gov’t Mule, The Avett Brothers, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Amy Helm, The Big Takeover and Marco Benevento are each aboard for Mountain Jam ’19 as per the Poughkeepsie Journal. Mule’s inclusion means Warren Haynes will return to the festival he helped create after a few years off. More than 40 acts will play Mountain Jam’s three stages. A full lineup announcement is expected soon.

“[Bethel] is like going to the Taj Mahal of sites. It’s all about being on an amazing piece of land. What could be more amazing than Bethel Woods and the home of the Woodstock festival… It was really just a matter of going to the promised land,” said Chetkof. Live Nation has been brought in to co-promote Mountain Jam. Stay tuned for more details.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 8 at 10 a.m. ET.
