Guitarist John Kadlecik continued his tour of Florida with the John Kadlecik Band on Thursday night at The Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton. Local resident and Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge stopped by and sat-in on two songs to end the second set.
While Oteil often changes his Oteil & Friends lineup, Kadlecik frequently plays with Burbridge’s band. The pair’s chemistry came through on Thursday night. Oteil took over bass duties for Robin Sylvester on Kadlecik’s “What’s Become Of Mary.” The rest of the band was rounded out by drummer Jay Lane and keyboardist Benjie Porecki. Kadlecik, Burbridge, Lane and Porecki followed “What’s Become Of Mary” with a triumphant cover of the Motown classic “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).” Watch video captured by Adam Firtel of Cheesehead Productions:
