Guitarist William Tyler was joined by fellow guitarist Steve Gunn Tuesday night at (le) poisson rouge in New York City. Gunn accompanied Tyler on one of latter’s originals and on a cover of a song originally recorded by Michael Chapman.
Tyler performed on acoustic and electric guitar during his set, and was backed by drummer Ryan Sawyer during “Whole New Dude.” The setlist also included songs from Tyler’s recently issued studio album Goes West, alongside selections from his other releases. Gunn emerged to sit-in on “Highway Anxiety” from Tyler’s 2016 album, Modern Country, and then led a cover of Chapman’s “Among The Trees.”
