On Saturday, Taylor Swift stopped by two lucky fans’ engagement party and delivered a moving acoustic rendition of “King Of My Heart”, off of her 2017 Reputation studio release.
Alexander Goldschmidt was the mastermind behind the surprise performance for his fiancé Ross Girard at their recent engagement party. Goldschmidt jokingly explains in the beginning of the viral YouTube video that he knows he puts a lot of secrets on his friends plates, and thanks everyone for keeping all of those secrets.
Goldschmidt went on to tell his guests, “There’s one secret I couldn’t trust any of you with though. There was a person who … sort of played a part in all of this. So I would like to welcome, and you to give a warm welcome to, my friend Taylor.”
Taylor Swift proceeded to walk out of the back of the event space, shocking and surprising everyone in attendance. Swift went on to tell Goldschmidt and Girard’s guests that Goldschmidt emailed her expressing him and his fiancés admiration for her song “King Of My Heart”. Swift went on to exclaim, “I’ve been off tour for a while but hopefully it’s still all right. This is from Alex. It’s sung by me, but it’s from Alex.”
