Thousands Of Live Music Fans Call For Change At Sydney’s Don’t Kill Live Music Rally

165

As the backlash against Gladys Berejiklian and the NSW Government’s harsh new regulations and restrictions for music festivals reaches boiling point, the Don’t Kill Live Music rally was held in Sydney yesterday to protest them.

Berejiklian has been, frankly, a total stick in the mud when it comes to working out these issues. Yesterday, major music organisations banded together to speaking to Berejiklian and relevant ministers in a meeting to discuss the matter. But there was a spanner in the works – Berejiklian and the relevant ministers didn’t show up.

The rally is a direct response to the canceling of Mountain Sounds Festival, which blamed the cancellation on the state government’s “war on festivals”. Many artists and groups have condemned Berejiklian and co., like Peking Duk and the Australian Festival Association.
