Calling All Tubthumpers: Here’s Your Chance To Win A Trip To London For A Drumming Masterclass

If you consider yourself an absolute weapon on the old pots n’ pans, a groove ninja more deadly than ten Chuck Norrises with a pair of drumsticks in hand, then this could be your moment to step out from the shadows and into the spotlight!

Shure are running a competition for one tubthumping beatlord to win an all-expenses-paid trip to London to attend a drumming masterclass with a “VIP” [AKA famous] drummer as well as a drum-miking workshop at the iconic Metropolis Studios and pocket USD $5,000 worth of shiny new Shure gear to boot.

The second and third prize winners will also take home Shure loot valued at approximately USD $3,000 and $1,000, respectively, while each “Country Winner” and the “Fan Favourite” will all receive a prize pack consisting of a Shure MV88+ Video Kit and Shure SE215 Sound Isolating Bluetooth Earphones.

To enter, all you have to do is submit a video showing off your “creativity and unique
drumming talents” on an acoustic drum kit.

“This competition aims to shine a spotlight on creative drumming by musicians committed to their craft,” a statement from the team at Shure reads. “Do you have a unique playing style? Or are you simply an amazing performer? We want to show the world why you’re a master of the drums.

“It’s time for drummers to get the glory they deserve.”

NB: you need to be playing alone without any other musical accompaniment, so tell your bandmates to GTFO. This is YOUR time to shine!

We’re told that contestants should also select the Shure gear they’d like to win using the website’s “drum mic configurator”too #fancy

Dubbed DRUM MASTERY 2019, The Shure Drum Contest is open to contestants from 44 countries around the globe, so you’d better get creative because competition is going to be tough to ~beat~ IF YOU KNOW WHAT WE MEAN.
