Danger Mouse & Karen O Perform ‘Woman’ On ‘Late Night With Stephen Colbert’

Danger Mouse and Karen O were the musical guests on Monday night’s episode of Late Night With Stepehn Colbert. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman and the musician/producer teamed with dictor Spike Jonze for a special perfromance of “Woman” from their recently-released collaborative album Lux Prima.

The highly-stylized and choreographed take on the song featured Karen O flanked by a dance troupe, who made the most of the Ed Sullivan Studio’s stage freely moving about. The performance also included coordinated call and response dance moves with the studio audience that featured Colbert participating.

Karen O previously shared the following about “Women,” which was written in response to how she was feeling in the wake of the 2016 election, “A lot of people felt helpless like you do when you’re a scared kid looking for assurance that everything is gonna be alright … I’m a woman now and I’ll protect that inner girl in me from hell and high water.” Watch Danger Mouse and Karen O’s performance below:
