Dark Star Orchestra Announces Summer Tour 2019

Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra detailed most of this year’s summer tour. The band confirmed a series of dates spanning June 28 – August 17 with the promise of more to come.

DSO kicks off the run at The Mill & Mine in Knoxville on June 28. A swing through Ohio includes stops in Cincinnati on June 29 and Sylvania on June 30. From there, Dark Star Orchestra heads to Chesterfield, Missouri on July 3 and Aurora, Illinois on July 5 before their performance at this year’s Northwest String Summit. The tour continues in the Northeast with two nights at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on July 26 (recreating the Dead’s May 11, 1979 show) and July 27.

Next, the tribute act hits East Providence, Rhode Island on July 28; Utica, New York on July 30; Rochester, New York on August 2; Hyannis, Massachusetts on August 3 and Westbrook, Maine on August 4. DSO heads to New Jersey for a pair of shows next before two nights in Dewey Beach, Delaware. The group plays Richmond on August 15 and are currently scheduled to end the tour with the inaugural Dark Star’s Pisgah Jubilee in Black Mountain, North Carolina August 16 and 17.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. local time.
