Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready enlisted members of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N’ Roses and Foo Fighters as well as Brandi Carlile for the inaugural Peak To Sky event. The McCready-curated day of music will take place at Big Sky Events Arena in Town Center in Big Sky, Montana on July 6.
McCready will be joined by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan in Big Sky. Carlile will open the festivities. “I love playing music with Chad Smith, Duff McKagan and Josh Klinghoffer. I am stoked to play with Taylor Hawkins too,” part-time Big Sky resident McCready said as per Explore Big Sky. “Asking Brandi Carlile to be a part of this event was a no brainer.
“This show is going to be awesome and I am looking forward to the town of Big Sky and the surrounding area coming out to rock with us,” McCready added. “Maybe this can turn into something that lasts.” Tickets go on sale April 19 via the festival’s website.
