Results Are In For The 2018 ‘Hottest 100’ Style Countdown For Heavy Music

The Faction, Australia’s fave digital radio station dedicated to all things heavy, has just revealed the results of its Hottest 100-style countdown of the most frothed rock, punk & metal bangers of 2018.

Like triple j‘s countdown, The Faction‘s so-called ‘Hardest 100’ was voted for by listeners and features a couple of songs by Bring Me The Horizon.

But unlike triple J‘s countdown, it’s 100% riff-driven.

The #1 spot was taken out by Architects with their single ‘Hereafter’. The UK metalcore lords also stole 3rd place (‘Doomsday’), 7th place (‘Royal Beggars’), 20th place (‘Modern Misery’), 34th place (‘Death Is Not Defeat) and 51st place (‘The Seventh Circle’) in the big list, essentially conquering all.

Runner-up was Melbourne’s Alpha Wolf with ‘Black Mamba’ (they also snagged #8 with ‘No Name’), with Bring Me The Horizon’s ‘Mantra’ coming in at #4, Slipknot’s ‘All Out Life’ at #5, Parkway Drive’s ‘Wishing Wells’ at #6 and ‘Prey’ at #9 and Hellions’ ‘Smile’ at #10.
