The Allman Brothers Band: Fillmore West is due out later this year. ABB manager Bert Holman spoke about a potential Fillmore West release with Billboard in the days after Gregg Allman’s death in 2017. Holman described the set as, “a package featuring multiple shows by the original Allmans lineup at the Fillmore West in San Francisco.” The original lineup featured guitarists Duane Allman and Dickey Betts, bassist Berry Oakley, keyboardist Gregg Allman and drummers Butch Trucks and Jaimoe.
As per the band’s website, The Allman Brothers Band played the iconic Fillmore West on January 28, 29 and 31 in 1971. While the setlists for the 28th and 31st are similar there are a few changes between the two. The full setlist for January 29, 1971 is unknown. Stay tuned for more details on the first “new” live archival release of a public show from The Allman Brothers Band’s original lineup since Boston Common, 8/17/71 in 2007 outside of the uncirculated bits from Owsley’s Fillmore East recordings.
