Strand of Oaks performed “Ruby” on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The appearance featured frontman/guitarist Timothy Showalter backed by members of My Morning Jacket, guitarist Jason Isbell and fiddler Amanda Shires.
“Ruby” is one of the tracks on the upcoming Strand Of Oaks album Eraserland, which comes out March 22 on Dead Oceans. The record features My Morning Jacket members, guitarist Carl Broemel, drummer Patrick Hallahan, bassist Tom Blankenship and keyboardist Bo Koster, as well as Isbell. Blankenship, Koster, Isbell, Shires and drummer Will Johnson backed Showalter yesterday at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, watch their rendition of “Ruby” below:
