The Barr Brothers Announce ‘An Album Nightly’ San Francisco Residency

200

The Barr Brothers announced a new three-night stand at The Independent in San Francisco on June 5, 6 and 7. The shows will feature Brad Barr and Andrew Barr continuing their “An Album Nightly” series, performing a full original album at each show.

The Barr Brothers will open the run with a June 5 performance of their 2011 self-titled debut album. The following night, the group will play 2014’s Sleeping Operator. Finally, the residency will close on Friday, June 7 with a live rendition of their latest full-length record, 2017’s Queens Of The Breakers.

The Barr Brothers brought their “An Album Nightly” series to Toronto and Montreal in late-February and early-March. When those shows were announced the siblings stated, “Nostalgia, as a loose rule, is generally an impulse we try to avoid, or at least rely on sparingly, but when the reality sets in that a decade’s worth of music has gone down on our watch, and to have seen it unfold with the help of our amazing family of musicians and the support of such a giving audience as yourselves, we feel it’s a good time to look back and acknowledge the path we’ve traveled.”

Tickets for the Barr Brothers’ upcoming run in San Francisco go on-sale on Friday, March 22.
