Vampire Weekend unveiled the video for “Sunflower” from the band’s forthcoming Father Of The Bride LP, which is due May 3 on Columbia Records. The members of Vampire Weekend met at Columbia University on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. VW used notable Upper West Side locations as the backdrop for the “Sunflower” video.
The band recruited famed actor Jonah Hill to direct the video. “Sunflower” was filmed at Upper West Side food institutions Zabar’s and Barney Greengrass. Steve Lacy contributed to the song and also appears in the video as does comedian Jerry Seinfeld and rapper Fab 5 Freddy. Watch the “Sunflower” video below:
