If there’s one thing all of Australia – nay, the world – can agree on, it’s that Newcastle is the greatest city on earth. Pristine beaches, the great Joey Johns, that one ship that beached here and Silverchair – not sure what more you could ask for?
Now, fellow novocastrian Kye Smith has paid homage to the latter by drumming his way through the legendary band’s entire discography, and he’s done so with a picturesque Newy background.
Of course, Smith is no stranger to drumming his way through a band’s greatest hits. He’s done it for Blink-182, Nirvana, Sum 41, Grinspoon, AC/DC and even a medley of every song that’s ever won Triple J’s Hottest 100.
The video spans five minutes, starting with ‘Tomorrow’ and ending with Young Modern closing track ‘All Across The World’.
Watch the video below, and be sure to tell all your mates from Newy how great they are.
