155

On December 14 and 15, 2018 Dave Matthews Band concluded their first North American Fall Tour since 2012 with a two-night stand at John Paul Jones Arena in the group’s hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia. A previously unreleased live recording of the first show is now available for those who purchase tickets to DMB’s upcoming summer tour.

Dave Matthews Band’s penultimate show of the fall began with the tour debut of “Big Eyed Fish” and continued with just the second “Bartender” of the run. After a series of classics, songs from 2018’s Come Tomorrow and a cover of Aerosmith’s “Sweet Emotion,” the septet welcomed Preservation Hall Jazz Band to share the stage on “That Girl Is You.” Other highlights include a take on Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer,” an extended “Dancing Nancies” and an encore featuring the beloved “Christmas Song” and cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower.”

The official recording of DMB’s December 14, 2018 concert is available via nugs.net for 2019 North American tour ticketholders. Those holding tickets can find information about how to generate the code to download the show here. Dave Matthews Band kicks off the tour on April 30 in Pensacola, Florida.
