The Flaming Lips will embark on a 12-date summer tour with The Claypool Lennon Delirium featuring support from Micah Nelson’s Particle Kid. The tour spans July 23 – August 7 and comes in support of the Lips’ forthcoming studio album, King’s Mouth: Music And Songs, which is due July 19 through Warner Bros. Records.
Up first for the three bands is a concert at Wave in Wichita, Kansas on July 23. From there, the groups bring the tour to Des Moines, Indianapolis, Lewiston (New York), Asbury Park, Port Chester (New York) and New Haven. The July 31st concert in New Haven will take place without The Claypool Lennon Delirium. On August 2, the three acts play Saranac Brewery in Utica, New York and then make stops in Worcester, Charlotte, Charlottesville and Raleigh to end the tour.
Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 26 at 10 a.m. local time.
