The Flaming Lips and The Claypool Lennon Delirium will team for a run of 2019 summer tour dates with Particle Kid. Announced on Tuesday, the two psych-rock bands along with the indie-Americana Particle Kid will hit the road for 12 performances beginning on July 23rd in Wichita, KS and continuing until August 7th with a gig in Raleigh, NC.
The mid-summer tour will see the three bands hit a mix of cities along the midwest and the eastern U.S. with shows at Water Works Park Amphitheater in Des Moines, IA (7/24); Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park in Indianapolis, IN (7/26); Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ (7/28); The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY (7/30); The Palladium Outdoors in Worchester, MA (8/3); and the Sprint Pavilion in Charlottesville, VA (8/6), just to name a few.

The Claypool Lennon Delirium was in Atlanta over the weekend for a Sunday afternoon performance at Sweetwater 420 Fest. The band is currently touring across America throughout the spring in promotion of their new sophomore album, South of Reality. Ahead of their run of shows with The Flaming Lips, The Claypool Lennon Delirium will also hit the road for a stretch of early-summer dates with Jim James.
As for The Flaming Lips, the veteran rock outfit recently announced their own new album in the form of a project titled, King’s Mouth: Music And Songs. The album is scheduled to arrive on July 19th via Warner Bros. Records, just in time for the start of the tour.
